Jackals are omnivores and eat just about anything. From insects, spiders, lizards, snakes, small antelope, rabbits, even fruit and berries.

The mating season takes place from late May to August, with a gestation period of 60 days. Litters consist of 1-9 pups, and the pups are born blind.

While the jackal prefers open, arid areas such as woodlands or grasslands with enough brush for cover, it can adapt to just about any habitat.

Any rifle will go. You will need to hunt at night with predator calls and spotlights. You will only have a second or two to make the shot.
