Common Reedbuck are light brown with white underpants. Their tail is bushy and white tipped. Only the rams carry horns.
They are primarily grazers selecting for grass. When grass is not available they will also take small quantities of herbs.
This antelope’s natural habitat is wet grasslands. Unfortunately, this type of habitat has shrunk significantly, with a subsequent reduction in the number of Reedbuck.
They are water dependent, so your best chance of hunting them will be close to water. The 7mm or .270 is more than enough gun. Be sure to use quality bullets. Aim point will be straight up the foreleg about one third into the body. This will penetrate either the heart or the lungs.
